Paragon BioTeck, Inc., Supports Local Performing Arts Company

09/01/2015 Philanthropy

PORTLAND, Ore. – Paragon BioTeck, Inc., a privately held pharmaceutical and medical device company is proud to announce the partnership between The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts and Paragon Gives.

“As a long-time advocate and supporter of arts and cultural programs, we’re naturally drawn to The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts,” said Patrick Witham, President and CEO of Paragon. “We recognize the arts are a powerful tool to help economies to thrive and individuals to connect across cultures. We’re pleased to partner with an organization that enriches the Greater Eugene community by providing dynamic learning opportunities and diverse musical performances.”

The non-profit Shedd Institute, headquartered in Eugene, offers music education and training programs at its Music School. Paragon Gives plans several donations to benefit the School and will provide scholarships to five students attending Summer Training Camp. In addition, Paragon Gives will sponsor performances by renowned jazz artists, John Pizzarelli and Tierney Sutton, in the “Now Hear This Presenting Series,” which offers up to 35 concerts each season from artists representing a variety of music genres.

“Paragon’s patronage will bring world-class concert artists to Eugene and provide substantial scholarship support for students who otherwise could not afford music instruction,” said Ginevra Ralph, Director of Education for The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. “We look forward to building on the shared vision we both have for a culturally vibrant and informed community.”
